Sparkles, Second Only To Spirals

Playing with my new set of pearlescent watercolors. I want to go back over this with my new pearlescent acrylic inks. I want to use the word "pearlescent" in every sentence from now on. Did you see where I left my pearlescent cookie? I wasn't done with it, and it is pearlescent.

Shudder To Think

Graphite, wax pastels, and water. The three w's of art night. Except for graphite.

Surrounded By Sweetness

A postcard-sized paint doodle. I don't really like hummingbirds, but I DO really like bright red sugar water.

Cold-Blooded

Had he known it was going to be such a cold day, he would have just stayed home.

The Bearillas

I learned something today. A lot of somethings.

I learned that a bearilla is a bear crossed with a gorilla. If they were in a zoo, they would be the best thing in the zoo. I recently read that all bearillas are gay. That's why there are so few of them left and you almost never see them rooting through your garbage cans for bananas and yams and jaunty leather caps.

I learned that indigo is the thing I hate most about rainbows. I was given a lovely new set of pastels and despite having several zillion colors, not a single one is called "indigo". So I used "prussian blue" even though I don't think they believe in rainbows in Prussia, if Prussia is a place. At least there was one called "red" because I kind of have a hard time with red.

I learned that while I am decent at painting (I guess), I am terrible at coloring. Actually, I already knew that. Staying in the lines is for suckers.

I learned that I am too lazy to finish this drawing.
